CRMC’s Highland Rim Home Health Relocates

Cookeville, Tenn. — Highland Rim Home Health, a department of Cookeville Regional Medical Center, has relocated from its current location at 337 North Cedar to its new home at 2370 Quinland Lake Road in Suite 150, near Highway 111.

“We had simply outgrown our office space by the hospital,” said Dana Durm, RN, Highland Rim Director. “This location near Highway 111 is ideal for our staff since they are continually traveling around the region seeing our patients.”

Serving patients throughout the Upper Cumberland in 14 counties, Highland Rim is a full service home care agency providing services for patients in their homes, including skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical social services, private duty nursing care and personal care.  The home health was established in 1978 and then purchased by Cookeville Regional in 1988 to expand services for patients and their families.

“Home health has many benefits for patients as well as their families,” continued Durm. “Whether the patient is chronically ill, recovering from surgery or living with a disability, home care often allows the patient to receive services to meet their individuals needs right there at home. It is especially beneficial for those who are chronically ill or living with a disability since it may make a difference in them staying in their own home or having to move to a long term care facility.”

Highland Rim provides a highly trained, interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, technicians and nursing support staff to meet the comprehensive needs of homebound patients. A registered nurse is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to patient needs and questions.

Home health services are covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare, TennCare and Medicaid. If you think you could benefit from home health services, ask your healthcare provider to see if you qualify. For questions about home health services, call Highland Rim at 931-528-5578.
