New Neurohospitalist Joins Cookeville Regional

Cookeville Regional Medical Center proudly welcomes Jacqueline Ansell, M.D., to its medical staff.

Dr. Ansell is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and board certified by the American Board of Neurology. She moved to Cookeville from Clarksville, Tenn. where she practiced neurology at Gateway Medical Center. Before her stint in Clarksville, she worked in a neurology clinic at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, KY and worked in a private neurology practice in Northport/Tuscaloosa, ALA.

She completed her medical degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She completed an internship in 1990 from Dalhousie University.  She also completed her residency training in internal medicine, psychiatry, and neurology all from Dalhousie University.  Dr. Ansell is advanced trained in Electromyography (EMG).

Dr. Ansell is a clinical assistant professor at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. as well as an adjunct clinical faculty member at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tenn.

Dr. Ansell is a fellow of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), a member of the Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), and member of the American Medical Association (AMA).  

Dr. Ansell is pleased to be joining the staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center and looks forward to serving the medical needs of this community.
